Diwali Damakaa

Bangalore is in total mess as is Chennai, should i say why ? Bangalore It.in got underway amidst all ruins, heard that there's lukewarm response, not many have gone in, and some companies have not represented this time around. Chief Minister Shri.Dharam Singh, visited all affected areas along with DG(Deve Gowda, ex-PM). They have committed to reform infrastructure problems in karnataka, not only in Bangalore. On the personal front, i shifted to my new residence in Benson Town, and so far so good. Shops arent as close as it was during my previous tenancy, nevertheless roads are good and drainage, worth celebrating. There's a huge slush of drainage sound behind our house, chennai's "Coovum" brethren. Feels like you live next to kutralam falls :)

Mom and wife set up the house, thanks to Ganz and chitra, they came over on sunday, withstanding deluge of rains and water logging, and helped us to start functioning. Mom couldnt leave as planned, as all trains to chennai stands cancelled, and repair work is being undertaken. She managed to get AirDeccan ticket for Rs.1150 and off she flew. She appeared like a "small kid lost in Kumbamela" as she entered airport. It was a very different experience for her and she didnt utter a word inside, kept looking around, seeing faces and how confident others around her were. Thats something i have never seen in her. she is always this most confident woman on earth league. however some situations can be daunting,no matter how big you are. it must have been a humbling experience for her. my sister called up after mom reached and said "amma is blowing her trumpets" . well, she has every reason to. not often in her life time has she taken the aerial route. it happens once in 20 years. this is only her second flight of her life, the first being a chennai-madurai trip when i was about 7 years old. i should thank air Deccan and other guys who have been operating for a while now. whatta way to stretch the lips.

whole week, it rained and rained and bangaloreans didnt seen sun or even a ray of hope. yea i forgot to add that i did score a slow 20 last match. we were chasing 143 in 20 and we lost by 29 runs. i was too careful and slower than what was expected of me, i ve a chance to redeem myself tomow against AXA, they are a very good team.

and then the trichy trip + coorg. ciao all, happy diwali .

Yenge sellum indha paadhai

Yaaro Yaar arivaro. its gonna be a tuff next week for my team. guys coming down from Is-real(sic) for interactions over 4 -5 days. and then the diwali trip and then to Coorg and back. Need to pick up my amma this evening, whatta sluggish train, starts at 1:00 from chennai and reaches only by 8:00. Another interesting development in Bangalore, with Infosys cheif and a wonderful man called NarayanaMurthy resigning as chairman of BIAL whatever, it is the new bangalore airport project in Devenahalli. Mr.Deve Gowda, son of the soil, former PM of India, played his hand, or so it appears. He had commented a few days ago about how useless NRM has been. He accused him as a land grabber, non functional chairman, etc. I dont know the truth, hence better to keep quiet. Someone might see this blog and file a law suit.

There was some healthy discussion in a news group here, with many touting hyd's virtues, some supporting bangalore, accusing population increase as the reason, etc. however it was all fun to read.

Caveat:No law suits please, these are my personal observations from my filthy unfiltered mouth full of worms.

Enna da Pollada Vazhkai

Hell, at times i wonder what am i gonna write! it is a touch difficult to recollect, poor and undernourished cells in my brain have been in deep slumber. Saw a house in Benson Town last week and decided to shift by this weekend. Unfortunately i have 2 matches scheduled that very weekend and life wud be miserable. Mom is expected, the packaging specialist. Wife has already started packing a few glass items. then Diwali trip is getting prepared, then may be coorg or Yelagiri, Gawd, am a busy bee.Murali is gonna travel to US for a couple of months for training.Conoor and KP are going to Maldives/Lanka for second honeymoon. Me and Ganz shall have to decide on sth by evening.

will write later...ran out of ideas...yes i shall continue now, 2 days later.house shifting will happen this sunday, and i need to look for a lorry. Raju, who was there last time around has absconded and i need to make a visit to the lane next to TGIF to find a new chap.phone shift forms have been submitted, will take a week or so i believe. unfortunately BharatGas agency,Mahalakshmi enterprises have ran out of stationery and hence would not hand out a letter for transfer !! How sick.

there was a major confusion wrt cricket matches this weekend, there were 3 scheduled, ofcourse it was impossible for us to play all. so on request one has been postponed to next week. lets see if i come out of my slump and single digit scores..

Curate's Egg and the Weekend !

What does that mean, well it was a mixed weekend, friday we had a good dinner and slept off early. R was supposed to resume her official duties but she declined to do so, as her mother was leaving and she would feel a bit sad. well, as me and MIL left her at the door, a few tears went down and washed her cheeks white, mom hugged her and big goodbye for the time being. heavy traffic,one-way city, what a pain in bangalore, i managed to drop her at Madiwala,KPN around 12:35 PM. Went to WF and picked up other guys and reached the ground by 2:30 or so. Accenture BPO came well past 3:00 and the match got reduced to 16 overs a side, we batted first. Kishore made a crucial contribution at the top. Myself failed miserably, miserable must be mentioned because i stayed at the crease for 2-3 overs and could not manage to touch even a single ball! and that has not happened often. i got out looking ugly at the crease but given my struggle there, it was a fitting end to my uncomfortable vigil at the crease. came home tired, not cos we lost and i played a big part, but because of the traffic. their bowling was well below average but our bowling wasnt too great either and they scored off pretty easily. we were left licking our wounds once again. Sunil was supposed to come home that evening, but as it turned out Ganz and co and Conoor and Co came over and we had a candle lit dinner. It was a good get together after a long time. Ganz had booked his new Baleno and seemed upbeat explaining his choices of accessories. We slept late that night and next morning missus had icici written test. dropped her in koramangala and went over to Ganz' place. had lunch over there after R returned, she opined that she has done well and the results would be out after 3 weeks or so. Sunday evening was pretty dull, i felt bored, couldnt get Teen diwarein, hindi flick and that subdued me. R and I picked up Sunil and went over to Lemon Grass for dinner, it was Gandhi Jayanthi and the 4th month into our marriage. Not that i remembered whilst driving out, but it just happened that way. returned home ard 9:30 and slept peacefully. A nice weekend but for my cricketing venture. Now my last scores run 0,1,0,0. and thats worse than sourav's record :)
