Eyes Wide Shut

Not much changed over the last 2 days, wednesday evening, we had dinner and paid a customary visit to Gundoos and her mom. Gundoos has started walking on her own and her joie de vivre was something to watch.

Have been busy arranging for the match on Saturday against Accenture. It's a quarterfinal match, we were lucky to be there. There were only 3 teams in our pool and we had a close win in our first match and we made it. i guess it was LSIL. And having scored 60 to win MoM, i got ice cream cups.Yummy, gave it to my mom when she was here.

Two full days of training in office. There's a match coming up today, between NZ and India and i hope Dada, sourav comes good. Else am sure he would be relegated to 12th or 14th man very soon. And there were a whole lot of mails from XXX-T. Good to see a whole lot from a lackadaisical bunch of bumpkins.

Last few days

Well, sorry for being so tardy, not sure when i recounted the events..well, here i go from whatever i remember over the days.

Friday, was quite dull, nothing much happened really. had a quiet day, watched TV for a while, Ashes is something one cant miss for anything. I have not seen any better cricket in my lifetime ! Am no Sunil Gavaskar,hee :)

Saturday, wife went to office, i woke up late, had my usual timepass at home,watching TV, browsing for a while,etc. We did some Foodworld previous evening. Met Ganz on Saturday afternoon, had lunch there, sambar, rasam, reached home by around 6:00. Radhika was carrying,5 kgs of Rice ! and it so happened that i crossed her on the road as she waved out for me. It led to some discussion as usual and i told her "I really did not see you" !

Ganz and chits came over that nite and we had a good time. been long since we sat on a table for hours. they slept over, next morning Shashi, the barbarian woke me up for nets, man, it was awful, had a bad headache that ran throughout the day. horrible time.

Felt good the monday morning, thanks to R and her regular diet, i held myself. Home, watched TV for a while, ZIM had a horrible time, i shd say. Indians managed to win comfortably. But their batting was as bad as it has been over the last 2 years.

Tuesday was very entertaining. We went to Canara Bank, had met the officials on monday, thanks to parking in bangalore, it decides which bank one might have to choose ! We will vouch for Canara Bank and its business ethics. Its much better than HSBC, who have wrongly entered my DOB in their database. I wonder why banks collect Age proof ?

Well, Canbank was an eye-opener. Account opened in less than 30 minutes, money deposited within 2 minutes, safe key obtained in 10 minutes, RD in 20 minutes. Have u seen any faster operation ? Whosoever says PSU's are not good. I love PSU banks, and am going to invest as much as i can. Help them take in more desposits, as finance minister P.Chidambaram pointed out the other day!

Tuesday evening was even better ! Had been to Captains meet at Taj Gateway, i havent seen any better place for such an occasion. By the pool side, lightings, 5 start ambience. it was amazing. Took R along and she freaked out. she managed to wriggle out few roses from the organizers, ofcourse she being the only woman there, not many bothered to take the roses home, so it went to my home and our vase was happy to ve someone inside her :)

A New Beginning

Aug 23:-
Well today is Aug 23rd, gawd, its dragging like a snail..woke up ard 7:45, had a coffee, had my tryst with Hindu and loo,bsnl broads called up, so stayed back and didnt offer to drop my wife. they never called back and so had to leave for office by 9:00AM. Reached office, usual work,emails,round-ups,coffees,etc. had lemon rice and aaloo for lunch, realized rice dint have a pinch of salt..then rested for a while and created this stuff... mom and sis were here last weekend, had a great time with them, went for BITS Alumni music nite as well, it was good fun. met Ganz,Mani,Conoor. Had food at Krishna Cafe, Koramangala. Sunday was as usual drab and dragging,more becos of the next day, well dats how it is..cant help it. Played a match against GMR Group on Saturday @ BEL Grds, got raped. they batted first and amassed 240 in 25 overs !! We chased poorly as usual and lost shamelessly. Kishore scored 60 odd and saved the day for us. Get well soon,Reddy. Aug 25:-
I skipped one day, but then world didnt change a bit in a day. Struggled to get an auto on 24th morning. it rained like hell on 23rd evening and i took an auto back home, it konked near ulsoor lake and we hired another, somehow reached home, even my undies were wet. walked till BEML gate, no auto wala was ready to come to Ulsoor, God only knows if some water Boa is lurking there ! usual day at the office, went home around 1;00 to get the BSNL broadband working. Folks, after grappling with it for few days, realized that the password they gave me was wrong. 2 students from local engineering college came home and fixed it. i was thankful to say the least. heaved a sigh of relief. Speed was superb, some 480 kbps. amazing , isnt it ? then went to office, meetings, discussions, picked her up by 5:40 and reached home. Watched "Eyes Wide Shut" the 3rd time, had dinner, dialled into office network to ensure things were fine, slept...
